Classic Art Deco and mid century French Chandeliers

Upon the invention of the bulb powered by electric current — Edison — lighting progressed very fast. First in urban environments, until every house, office and public place was lit with a large variety of style and design. Art Deco and the Bauhaus opened the idea of well-designed and useful light for everyone, with reminiscences of past styles — neo-classical and classical. Mid-century explored form, blending mass production, usefulness and sometimes playfulness, reminding us of the space age and the progress of the third quarter of the 20th century.
