Chair and armchair have a long history of style and use. Since Old Kingdom Egypt, through ancient Greece and beyond, its design , from throne to dining chair , tells the story of its time. Countless artisans tooled their craft to reflect their era, from Louis XVI to Directoire, followed by Empire, then Restoration, ultimately leading to the Art Deco movement, which concept flourished with the mid-century movement after WW2. Its function evolved from ritual and power to simple, everyday use , lounging, resting, living. Today it became our place of comfort and respite .
