This features No. 23 and 26  from the Tableaux D'Histoire pour le Cours Elementaire series; the fall of the Bastille prison on July 14, 1789,  marks the beginning of the French Revolution , The French conquest of Algeria took place between 1830 and 1847 starting with the seizing of Alger .
Widely used in schools because of their large format and their colorful imagery. Aided teachers in their lectures and captured the imaginations of students alike.
