In 1886, Forest  founded his publishing house of maps and plans, mappemondes, globes, terrestrial and celestial spheres, paintings and wall maps for education at 17-19, rue de Buci in Paris and remains at 1, place du 13 October in Bagneux. Suppliers to schools since 1889, approved by the Ministry of Public Instruction, it also offered a lighter globe in its catalog.This map mentioned Libanon  (1926) , Istambul instead of Constantinople ( 1930)  Austria is  part of Germany so it  point to the mid 1930's 

it include all of the road , train and river used at the time for transportation . It was edited by  Girard Barrere , J. Forest was apparently succeeded by the geographical publishing firm Girard & Barrère, which continued to offer “Globes Forest” at the same Rue de Buci address in Paris that Forest used. During the early and mid 20th century the firm also produced globes and geographical publications as Girard, Barrère et Thomas. This may have been a merger or partnership with the 19th century Paris globemaker G. Thomas.
