Made in the late 1950's or  early 1960's this  table with its simple proportion  make this piece a perfect example of sleek French modernism  created by  Guariche and its peers,  it is made with  his trademark steel construction with glass shelve .In the  period after World War II (1939–45) there was increased interest in using new  methods and materials for mass production of furniture. Manufacturers of  materials such as formica, plywood, aluminum, and steel sponsored the salons of  the Société des artistes décorateurs .Metal frame with glass top and black glass  , magazine rack with bottle holder ,clearly a multi functional piece.
