French modernist desk lamp created in 1945's for Jumo , an important lamp making company from France , it was Andre Mounique , the co-owner who deposited the patent , him and Yves Jujeau produced some of the most amazing and innovative lamp until the 1970's. Contrary to some attribution , Mounique was inspired by the " streamlined train of the Union Pacific 1937 " not by the Bolide sculpture of Gustav Miklos ( 1924) . This lamp is an original edition from 1950 . Bakelite body with metal frame . The concept was to make a stand alone art piece regardless of the formal use.
