After World War II, Société Auxiliaire du Meuble (S.A.M.) emerged as the successor to HARRIBEY furniture, adopting its current name and evolving from its previous S.A.R.L. form. SAM revolutionized furniture design by infusing modern styles, materials, and advertising strategies to appeal to a broad consumer base. Their furniture, known for its modular design, was crafted from wooden panels.

During this period,  mid-century French designer rose to prominence by competing with Nordic furniture manufacturers, introducing intriguing new trends to the market.
