French modernist lamp made in the 1970's , by Jean Louis Domecq , under the name Lac . It is the original design , other extension can be added to extend the arms using the same principle. The particularity of the connection is the direct contact inside which does not required wires so it can be manipulated in any shape or form desired , all the moving part possibly moving at a 180 % angle . This one is a 3 arm which was usually the size of a working lamp for dentist , labs and even hair dresser , those could even be use as dryer with hot bulb . It can be use as a sconce using the original connector ( present) or mounted as a desk lamp (presently on a cast iron base) .It has been stripped to the metal , with some silicone to protect against moisture. The name came from his initial J. L. D , searching for a reliable and practical lamp to equip the machines in his workshop, Jean-Louis Domecq designed and constructed his own creative version .This model was his last creation in the 1970's , the quality of the metal and craftsmanship is not to be found anymore in the mass produced import of today .
