Made in France in the late 1930's this side table is a perfect example of the cubist design which flourished just before W.W.2.This piece has a distinctive "Dominique " touch with his streamlined style but elegant style. A.Domin and M.Genevriere defined themself as "innovator and classicist, champion of the tradition leading toward the future." Infatuated with functionalism, they created solidly constructed furniture, very sober and often times completely lacking of all decor. Ibought it in France so it is guaranty to be an original French art deco piece of the modernist movement.
H.23 in x D.28 in , good antique condition recently refinished , solid cuban mahogany on a maple frame , some small separation of the veneer in the center ( thin hair line ) .
