Made in France in the early  1920's  this  pair of sconce is a transition piece from the art nouveau  to the art deco movement ,rewired with American socket , brass mounting , the glass is very thick .It is the last time in France that it was possible to produce and offer brass pieces of this quality , the mass production of the 1950's was just around the corner and turned the page on small atelier to open the age of cost saving .It will fit any modernist interior and can bring a warmer touch to a pure mid-century style furniture set. It will look great in an entrance or a bathroom.
