Made in the early 1940's in France this piece has a distinctive curved classical legs which was introduced by Leleu and Arbus  .The top is bleach oak inlay on top. The top slide to be opened to its full size .It is a perfect size piece for New York apartment  where space is at a premium. Solid and excellent craftsmanship .Those type of furniture were new to the working class since for the first time in modern history they were able to have leisure , before it was reserved to the ruling class .It is one of the distinctive appeal of the art deco movement : bringing good design to ordinary people.
