Made in France during the 1890's this drawing is aquarelle original rendering of White Calla Lily created by Henri Adam (1864 – 1917),Henri ADAM studied with Philippe Zacharie at the Fine Arts school in Normandy. At its beginning considered a non-professional painter, he works in a bank and Rouen in the evening plays trumpet in the orchestra of Theatre Arts. Yet he paints regularly and his many watercolors reveal a surprising economy of means. slight brush strokes are sufficient to indicate the essential points of its composition. At 45, Henry Adam is able to devote himself entirely to painting. His teacher functions of drawing and painting in Normandy College leave him enough leisure to go paint all along the coast from Brittany to Ostend, and describe a sort of poetic tenderness streets and monuments Norman capital. He is very sensitive to the atmosphere of the time, the impressions of the moment .
