This 7 inches French globe was published by Hachette by Vivien de Saint Martin a renowned geographer of the early 19th in collaboration with for Shotte fromBerlin .Congo is not yet named free state of Congo ( 1877) and is mostly unexplored ( see picture), the river Congo is still not fully mapped , mention of taint Peteresburg in Russia , Alaska present ( 1867) . Budapest is still Pest in Hungary ( until 1873 ) Overall all of the countries are easy to read and to discern. The printing is really nice and well done , this type of globe belongs to the tradition of globe making of the 19th century . Twelve spindles of lithographed paper. Indication of sea currents. Blackened wooden base. Napoleon III period.

These included a history of the French Revolution (1841), a history of Napoleon (1844), a history of geography (1873), and the Atlas universel de géographie, created with Franz Schrader.
