12" TERRESTRIAL FRENCH ANTIQUE TABLE GLOBE IKELMER 1880 SCHOOL GLOBE
This 12 inches globe was Edited by Ikelmer,a French editor of the late 19th , Little is know about him ,"dressée par R.Barbot géographe, gravée par L.Sonnet, signé Ikelmer Editeur-fabricant de sphères, Ministère de l'Instruction Publique, Paris".It was destined to be used in school as indicated by the inclusion of " ministere de l'education national "in the label.I have the large globe of the same maker which was also use by the teacher.R. Barbot , the geographer , is also found on other atlas and globe .Overall the globe is in good condition with fresh color the graphic style break from the classic facture of Delamarche with colorful detail , clearly a result of the improvement of the printing process of the late 19th.I believe it is a good value in term of historical content and decorative cachet .
Size : 10" globe , H18. , fresh color , light touch up near the North pole  easy to read and observe all the country, it has been cleaned
