From 1958 on , Capron shifted toward tiles and decorative panels, moving away from functional pottery into architectural work. He brought together industrial production and artistic creativity, applying his signature motifs  animals, suns, and geometric shapes  to furniture, murals, and panels .The tiles are handcrafted by pressing real leaves and flowers into the clay before firing, leaving a detailed imprint. The plants come from Vallauris , the region in southeastern France where Capron lived and worked.
