Original school poster from the 1960s, published by the French company Rossignol. Carries a beautiful print on each side of the paper. This features No. 19 and 20 from the Tableaux D'Histoire C.E. series; "Jean le Bon a Poitiers" and "Une Ruse de Duguesclin", which depict historic scenes from medieval French history - the capture of John II by the English at the Battle of Poitiers in 1356 , and one of the notorious tactics used by Bertrand Du Guesclin during the Hundred Years' War.


Widely used in schools because of their large format and their colorful imagery. Aided teachers in their lectures and captured the imaginations of students alike.
