The Parisian publishing house SAUSSINE carried on its activities for a century, from 1860 to 1960.The founder Léon Saussine was manager until his death in 1899, then his widow and his children will develop and continue the activity. The longevity of this house leaves a wide field of investigation for collectors due to the large number of games published, the evolution of the same game over time with a change in presentation or content ....those Atlas puzzles set are usually a combination of published atlas from the geographer of the 19th. Most of Saussine’s set  are not attributed  and can be found with other publishing company. They exhibited at the World's Fair in 1878 as an educational and parlour games publisher .The illustration of the front is a Chromolithography , which  a unique method for making multi-colour prints. This type of colour printing stemmed from the process of lithography . Chromolithography became the most successful of several methods of colour printing developed by the 19th century , placing this set late 1800 , most likely 1880 .The political geography of the different map is also from the  1880/1900 , set forming 5 puzzle maps of the world, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas.
