This set of 8 chairs is built in the manner of Pierre Chapo with simple wood tongue and groove connection , it was definitely inspired by his work , it is a French production with a "NF" label ( norme Française ).ABOUT CHAPO :Influenced by the work of Charlotte Perriand for the Alpine ski resort of Les Arcs, his participation in the 1967 Société des artistes décorateurs' show brought him a bronze medal.Samuel Becket was among his first clients; For him, he created the ‘’Godot bed’’ in his Clamart workshop. Being invalided in the last part of his life it is possible that this set was designed by him , like Perriand he was interested in a " democratic " approach to good design .I posted a picture of Chapo's "S 24 model "for comparison .The fabric typical of the 1960's early 1970's is still usable as is .
