V. ROSSELIN (19th century), print editor, Paris, Established at no. 31, quai Voltaire, in Paris, in 1830, then at 21 bis between 1832 and 1834, and finally at no. 21 from 1836 until at least 1861, Rosselin was Madame Delpech's successor. 

This folding map engraved on strong paper was destined to be used by  the upper class tourist visiting Paris during the reign of Louis Philippe (1830-1848) , it feature vignettes of the different monuments before the massive transformation of Paris under Baron Haussmann starting in 1853 . The streets are for the most part the Paris of " les miserables " of Victor Hugo ' novel , dating from the middle age . Somme of those monuments have been replaced or destroyed .

Size 39 x 29 in , good condition , some oxidation of the paper , engraving .
