French newspaper representation of colonial propaganda , those were created to justify military action in Congo and another part of Africa in the late 19Th. It describe a Belgium explorer tortured by African native , Leopold II ,king of the Belgians from 1865 to 1909, was  keen on establishing Belgium as an imperial power, he led the first European efforts to develop the Congo River basin, making possible the formation in 1885 of the Congo Free State, annexed in 1908 as the Belgian Congo and now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This type of reporting justified the repression of the native for comercial gain with sensationalized reporting of fictional event .
