Made in France in the 1960 this cotton tapestry reflect the democratic desire of that time to produce affordable art . Neo fantastic and influenced by art nouveau  movement  Lurcat  tapestry use the vocabulary of natural symbol like the sun , animal and musical instrument , mixing decorative subject with mythological scene . In this piece the theme  is represented by " A moon over Paris " , reminiscent  of Jacques Prevert poetry  .Jean Lurcat was a great master of Aubusson tapestry, where he  produced over eight hundred original tapestries in his lifetime. It is a Corot edition , specialized in limited edition
