Made in France in the  1950's  this  pair of sconces is most likely a design from ROYERE  or inspired by the " modele persane " with  branch made of modular metal ( rewired with American socket ).The use of modular  metal was one of Royere favorite material to create organic form for his  lighting series like the "Liane" collection .The originality of Royere's work is  found in his way to play with organic design on a classic set up .The base is  different from the better know model so it is while it is definitely from the  1950'with a style reminiscent of Royere it could be from another designer like  Mategot or Guariche. This pair  will fit any   modernist interior and can bring a warmer touch to a pure mid century style furniture  set.
