Logerot made use of the works of the well known cartographers Fremin, Dufour, Dyonnet, and Vuillemin. He published map, atlases, folding case maps and jigsaw puzzle maps. He was active at Quai des Augustins 55, Paris.This set includes seven puzzle maps of the continents and France, each laid on a cardboard tray and stacked in a box . AR Fremin made five of the maps and J Gaultier made two (published by Logerot, Paris in 1850/1860 ) .Some of the map like Africa reflect the knowlege of around 1850 , while it show US incorporated Alaska ( 1867 ) the transcontinantal train line to the west not yet finish ( 1869 ) .While rare and often in poor condition, these curious maps and atlases are among the most amusing and whimsical geographic themed educational devices to appear in the 19th century.Fremin, A. R. (fl. c. 1810 - c. 1860 ) was a French geographer active in the early to mid 19th century. He is known to have been a student of the cartographer Jean-Baptiste Poirson.
