French art nouveau Denbac vase ,DENBAC (RENÉ DENERT & RENÉ-LOUIS BALICHON Denbac Pottery, Vierzon, France was started in 1908 by Rene Denert, an artist and ceramist. In 1921 he partnered with R.L. Balichon under the name Denbac. Denbac used the local grey clay and a flame pattern of glazes known as “gres flamme” as well as distinctive crystalline glazes. The company closed in 1952. This French Art Pottery company, was founded in 1909 in Vierzon, in central France by Rene Denert. It became known as Denbac after 1921 when Rene L. Balichon joined.
