Made in France in the late 1920's early 1930's this Chandelier is a signed Muller ,two brother whose work was eagerly sought after with many chandeliers and art glass pieces . The crash of 1929 had a crippling effect on the business however, and in 1936 the Muller Freres studios finally closed its doors for the last time. Brass mounting with silver plating ( oxidized ) , original glass shade , rewired with American socket .It is the last time in France that it was possible to produce and offer brass pieces of this quality , the mass production of the 1950's was just around the corner and turned the page on small atelier to open the age of cost saving . The brass arm and design can be found with the work of Sube , Sue and Mare and other from this era . It will fit any modernist interior and can bring a warmer touch to a pure Eames style furniture set.Dud to it long mounting it was most likely an entrance or all lighting
