Very seldom lamp designed in France by Edouard-Wilfried Buquet in 1925.It was hand tooled while looking very modern with a strong machine esthetic , the innovative counterbalanced predate the Garwardine's Anglepoise by several years .While influenced by the Bahaus movement in some of its functionalist approach Buquet's light possesses a certain elegance and stylishness not found in the machine age German movement. This light has been patented in 1927 under the name "Lampe équilibrée EB 27 " , nothing else is known on Buquet beside that he came from the Paris suburb of Montrouge , he was recognized in 1976 as the creator of this iconic light .Signed with a brass plate .H.20 (around ) , Base D.5.5 reflector x D.5.1/4, light scratch on metal , some small nick , Patina consistent with age and use, Partially restored, Rewired with new electrical socket and plug US compliant if you are only looking for a nice piece with history it will be perfect for you.I guaranty my Antiques to be original.
