Made in the 1940's this was originally designed in Germany as an  workshop task lamp. Christian Dell  was a designer for Rondella and Blunt in the 1920's and went in the 1930's to work with Kaiser and Idell , some of his creation remained in production until the 1980.  The body  is Nickel plated  metal with some oxidation which bring a nice patina .I purchase it in France and it is guaranty an original studio lamp from the 1940's.This model is supposed to be mounted on a working bench or a table , I added the cast iron base.
