03 A R P  sideboard ( Atelier de recherche plastique) Sideboard born of the collaboration of Pierre Guariche , Joseph Andre Motte and Michel Mortier under the name ARP 1954-1957. Their mentor Marcel Gascoin was an inspiration for a lot of young designer like them in their understanding of the social implication of the UAM movement ( Le Corbusier and Mallet-Steven founder) .The choice of clear waxed oak with a metal base has an "organic" touch in the same manner than Perriand works . The style is part of the after war period before production cost became the only discerning factor .Those designers were still attach to an original French design with a desire to produce clean and artistic form in furnishing.Size H.43 x L.90 x D.21

Made in the 1930's this piece has all the attribute of a piece from Arbus.He worked with rigorism accentuated by simple form and minimalist details. 04 Office French Art Deco Cabinet

1920's cabinet with shagreen inlay in the style of Dominique.I found it in Le Havre where Dominique created a lot of masterpiece for the CGT.The simple and practical form of Art Deco furnishings characterizes the style. Clean shapes and elegant lines are emphasized; decoration in the form of marquetry, carved and cut bas-reliefs, and contrasting parquetry are favored.
